Dear Members, Donors, Partners, and Community Friends,
Omega Christian Association was created to solve a real problem that we have observed in our society. We are not responding to a hypothetical issue. We have seen families in our community suffer because of loss of employment, sickness, family death, and hardship both here and abroad, especially within immigrant families.
There are days when families cannot laugh. There are days when they mourn. There are days when they feel no one is beside them. There are even moments when families struggle to bury their loved ones with dignity. Omega Christian Association exists to stand with families on those difficult days.
For many years, members of our community have individually supported families during the loss of loved ones and other hardships. But individual support alone is not always sustainable. Sometimes, families suffer in silence. Sometimes, we do not even know who needs help until the burden has already become too heavy. Omega was created to formalize this support, organize our compassion, and make sure families are not forgotten.
This mission is deeply personal to me. I have been active in the community for many years. I have helped new immigrants with transportation, including taking people from their homes to the airport when they had no other support. I have helped people with no income find housing by speaking with landlords and trying to advocate for them. I receive many calls from people looking for help, and I feel a deep responsibility when I see people suffering.
My motivation is simple: I want to support anyone in need. It is difficult to rest when you know people around you are struggling. That is one of the reasons I believe we must build Omega formally and responsibly.
Omega is the future. It is not only about how we begin; it is about the vision we are building. Our goal is holy. We want to strengthen solidarity, encourage community service, and create a support system that can grow beyond where we are today.
To anyone who wants to support us or join us, I believe this is an opportunity you may not find again in the same way. We have a big vision, and we are not settling for less. We want to expand our service to neighboring communities and, God willing, grow nationally and internationally. Our goal is humanity, and humanity has no boundary.
We also want to collaborate with other nonprofits, partners, churches, community groups, and similar associations. We believe success is greater when organizations work together for the good of families and communities.
In the future, we hope Omega can also support children who are not attending school or who are not receiving enough support to grow fully. We want Omega to become a motivator — an organization that gives hope, encourages service, and helps people rise during difficult seasons.
We have faced challenges, but we are stronger than before. We are ready for what will come, and we believe our work will continue to grow.
To anyone who wants to join us, I say this sincerely: you are not joining a duty. You are joining a blessing.
With respect and commitment,
Asrat Mana
